Belgrade, 28 November 2025 — On the second day of the scientific-professional conference “Social-Humanistic Theories and Practices: Challenges of the Time”, organized by the Academy for Human Development and partner institutions, the project “Empowerment with Artificial Intelligence: Improving Capabilities with AI” (2024-2-RS01-KA210-ADU-000265067) was officially presented.
The presentation, delivered by Veselin Medenica and Lidija Ivanović, took place within Session 4B and attracted strong interest from professionals in social work, rehabilitation, mental health, psychology, and education.
The speakers presented the key achievements of the project, including:
- the development of the first modular European guide on the use of artificial intelligence in inclusive education, therapy, and early intervention,
- an overview of practical AI tools that enhance communication, independence, learning, and digital inclusion of persons with disabilities,
- examples of good practice from Serbia, Türkiye, Italy, Germany, and other EU contexts.
A highlight of the session was the announcement that the publication “Empowering Inclusive Support with AI” will be released in December 2025, followed by the Training of Trainers in January 2026 (online + Akşehir), and the Training for Professionals in April 2026. The final conference is planned for autumn 2026.



The presentation opened a constructive discussion on how AI can practically improve the work of professionals and raise the quality of support for children, youth, and adults with disabilities, in line with EU strategies and the AI Act.
